For her installation Nuncii in the historic Poenigeturm in Menden, artist created Sonja Vlaar Heller an impressive flock of 152 carrier pigeons, floating between past, present, and future.

The installation tells the story of more than 750 years of history, identity, change, and resilience. The doves move through the space as messengers, connecting important moments from the past with the questions of today and tomorrow.

What makes this project extra special for us is that the objects are made of Stone Paper.

As a supplier, hardly a greater compliment is conceivable than the words of the artist himself:

I would love it if I could continue using this beautiful material for your future art projects as well.

Artists view materials differently than the industry. They discover possibilities that you could never have imagined beforehand. That is precisely why we find it inspiring to see how Stone Paper is used not only for packaging, printing, or labels, but also as a medium for art, imagination, and stories.

Thank you, Sonja Heller, for your creativity, your trust, and for showing that Stone Paper is more than just a material.

From sustainable raw material to artwork.
